Handling angry patrons

When a patron has been asked to leave the library because of unbecoming behavior, should you continue to answer him as to why he has been asked to leave? Would it be better to tell him once and then remain silent as he rants and raves? This happened in our library yesterday and the man was very vocal. He did leave but not without loud verbal words that disturbed the other patrons. Nightdog
